本属は本種のみを含む。本種は伊豆半島、神奈川県及び栃木県から記録されている。イネ科の葉に見られるが生態は不明。本属は南アフリカ、東南アジア～オーストラリアからそれぞれ１種を含むEdissa属に似るが、触角が細長く8節であること及びふ節が2節であることで識別できる。

This genus includes this species only. This specices has been recorded from Izu-peninsula, Kanagawa and Tochigi in Kanto-region. It occurs on Poaceae leaves but their biology is unknown. This genus is similar to Edissa, which includes two species distributed in South Africa and Southeast Asia to Australia, but it can be distinguished from the latter genus by slender 8-segmented antenna and 2-segmented tarsi.
